(ANSA) - MARTINA FRANCA, 04 FEB - The famous exhibition Building Bridges, named after the iconic work of the famous sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, made with six pairs of hands, 15 meters high, that join together to create bridges, arrives in Martina Franca, with the patronage and support of the Municipality's Department of Tourism. The project is curated by artistic director Felicia Cigorescu.
This initiative aims to "transcend cultural and geographical barriers, promoting a global dialogue of unity and understanding".
From April 4, the monumental work will be on display in Piazza XX Settembre. "The hands, a powerful symbol of connection, become the fulcrum of an artistic experience that invites us to reflect on our common humanity. In an often divided world, Building Bridges aims to unite hearts and minds, celebrating diversity and encouraging the encounter between cultures", says the councilor for tourism and territorial marketing Vincenzo Angelini.
Artistic director Felicia Cigorescu underlines the importance of Quinn's universal message, stating that "the hands, intertwined in a universal design, stand as a symbol of a profound desire: to eliminate the distances that separate our hearts. They reach out beyond invisible borders, embracing the essence of unity".
The work, coming from Barcelona, will be on display until September 1, 2025, before being transferred to Dubai. (ANSA). Source: Ansa
